Metro Atlanta’s housing market is firing on all cylinders for sellers!
The median price for all homes sold in March was $203,350, which is 4 percent higher than the median price in February and 3 percent higher than the median price in March 2014. The Market Trend Report for March showed a 37 percent increase in the number of closed transactions over February and a 40 percent increase over sales in March 2014.
The number of Months Supply of Inventory at the end of March was 2.8, which is 20 percent lower than February and a 7 percent decrease from March 2014. The average days on the market for all homes sold in March was 70. This is 2 days less than the average in February and 3 days more than the average in March 2014.
Zana Dillard says, “We are seeing a strong rebound of the market and continued decline of days on market for our listings and median price rising, the combination of the two tells us that our market has begun to stabilize and we should continue to see a strong selling season heading into the latter months of Spring.”
