Where do Georgia’s foreign homebuyers come from?

    atl nightskyIn 2014, 98 percent of the Peach State’s homebuyers were from the United States. But where do Georgia’s international buyers come from?

    According to ListHub Global, citing National Association of Realtors’ 2014 Profile of International Home Buying Activity, Mexico leads the pack of international buyers in Georgia.

    The Pew Hispanic Center reported there were nearly 530,000 Hispanics of Mexican origin living in Georgia.

    According to the National Association of Realtors, nearly 5 percent of all homes bought by a Hispanic of Mexican origin were in Georgia.

    The National Association of Realtors found nationally, over the 12 months ended March 2014, buyers from Mexico bought U.S. properties estimated at $4.5 billion, which is approximately 5 percent of total international sales.
